Who we are
Lantern+ (lanternplus.co.uk) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]), registered office [ADDRESS]. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: privacy@lanternplus.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use our early-access, tutor application, funded-tutoring or partnership forms, we collect your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to give us: your institution, subject, country and message. We also record which page you used and whether you agreed to receive updates.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To contact you about early access, your application or your enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To send occasional updates, only if you ticked the optional box. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To plan launch subjects and tutor recruitment, using aggregated, non-identifying information.
Please don't share sensitive personal information (such as health or family circumstances) in our forms. If the Lantern Fund needs to confirm eligibility, we'll explain what we need and why at that point.
Where it's stored and for how long
Form submissions are stored securely using Cloudflare's infrastructure, with our database located in Western Europe. We keep pre-launch sign-ups for up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with tutors or third parties for marketing.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email privacy@lanternplus.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
