Four steps from stuck to sure.
Buy credits
1 credit = £1. Top up from £20, earn bonus credits on bigger packs, and 5p of every £1 goes to the Lantern Fund.
Get matched
Tell us your university, module and how you like to learn. Lantern Match shortlists tutors who have taught that syllabus.
Learn live, keep it all
HD classroom with whiteboard and code pad. Keep the recording, an AI summary and auto-made flashcards.
Pay it forward
Credits are only released to tutors after your session. Turn Lumens into bonus credits, or gift an hour to another student.
Not just a marketplace. A movement for fairer access to learning.
Earn as you go
Tutors are paid within 24 hours of every completed session, in their own currency. No exclusivity, no lock-ins, and a flat, published commission.
5% to the Lantern Fund
5% of every credit pack is ring-fenced to buy free tutoring for care-experienced, estranged and first-generation students, shown on a public ledger.
Gift an hour
Tutors can pledge free sessions each month. For every gifted hour, Lantern+ waives its commission on that tutor's next paid hour.
Everything that keeps you learning between lessons.
Socratic AI study buddy
Asks guiding questions and checks your understanding 24/7, using your own session summaries. It never writes assessed work.
Study Circles
Small tutor-led groups for the same module, at a fraction of the cost of 1:1. Make friends, not just grades.
